A flashed getter, made of reactive material, is heated with induction and the activated material oxidizes, condenses on the cool vessel walls in a thin coating, which continues to absorb gas and oxygen and other impurities, which increases the vacuum vessel's life. Induction generates an electromagnetic field in a work coil that induces currents in the conductive material of a workpiece placed within or near the coil. Friction from these currents elevates the temperature of the workpieces and filler to be brazed.
